Somehow, there's no reason why, this brings to mind a David Hockley story I picked up at one of his exhibitions in London in the early '90s.  It seems he was invited to submit some of his work to an exhibition in Brazil (or someplace in SA) so he faxed them some of his prints.  After the exhibit they asked what they should do with them.  He suggested that they just fax them back.
