Yes indeed; limiting an SLR purchase by demanding it *not* have video is
basically not viable.
Luckily that wasn't really what was meant; rather, for video other than
quite serious, try your cell phone first before doing anything drastic.
I use mine for covering shots, too; I've got a couple of ways to
attach it to tripods and clamps and things (and it's nice and light;
just taping it up works).
Or iPod, or iPad. And of course not all phones have decent HD video,
and if you really need 1080p (but do you, really?) that limits it quite
a bit.
