convert them to DNG with photoshop and an action if you can't make it work

Does anyone know what might be causing this and how I might correct it?
I've optimized the catalog. I've tested the file and it does open so I know it's not corrupt. I wish to use the Edit In command to keep the link between the image and LR active for archiving purposes.
