The anaglyphs worked better, but still the foreground images appeared to be cut-outs imposed on a still background, someplace in the distance. Not a good perspective view in either case. Amazing. The wiggling between the two images produces the three dimensional effect. To test myself, to make sure I was actually sensing the 3D effect, I found that the effect was definitely gone when I looked at a screen snap.
