Well if anyone really gets bored

Just tell me and I'll stop, but there may be others out there that could learn something from my journey down the learning Lightroom road.  Since it was easy and convenient, I checked out the I tunes book library.  Well the Kelby and Adobe books were expensive, but I know they are likely fine books.  But if I am going to spend $40 for a book, its going to be on paper and printed nicely.  Another author whose name escapes me at the moment had one for about $16 so I bought it on a what the H E double hockey sticks moment.

Then I did what I have done a couple of times before.  I looked at several other options on I tunes.  The saying is "There is an app for that."  Well I took a look.  I found a series of videos from Kelby training done by Matt K.  The app is for the Ipad and Iphone and at a price of $9.95 that was worth the risk.  One reviewer had trouble getting it to work, but if it works it likely is money well spent.

The to the podcasts and there were resources there too.  Kelby training had one and thats the one I subscribed to first.  Looks very promising.

I also watched the a few online videos from Adobe with Julianne Kost.  My 3G made this somewhat of a frustrating exercise.  She did a great job with the presentation, but if anyone with Adobe is on list I think I would find shorter videos on very specific topics easier to navigate.    I personally would find it easier to find a 5 minute video on catalogs and collections than have to go through a 25 minute video with the hopes that what I am looking to learn is there.

Also found that there was an update to 3.5.  Most of you probably already knew that.  It looks like one of those updates that basically fixes the stuff that should have been in 3.0 in the first place, but I haven't installed that yet.  If its the next paid upgrade, nah not yet.  I didn't buy every upgrade for photoshop, and don't plan on starting with Lightroom.  I upgrade when they add something that I need.

Lastly I think there is a file I can download that can put the help files on my hard drive.  Its designed to get the files off the net, but this computer has no net connection.  IF that can't be solved I can live with it, but it will be a pain.

All in all I am still pleased.  Thanks again for all the help everyone.

Mark
