On Ischia you know when spring arrives--little green speckled lizzards with long tails scurry out of the tuffa walls. They're very quick, and if you manage to grab their tails, they break off. And of course they never grow large enough to be dangerous to anybody. YOUR critters, on the other hand, are another story! I intend to keep my eyes wide open.
