The Fulbright Scholar Program and Humphrey Fellowship Program are administered by the Institute of International Education’s Department of Scholar and Professional Programs, which includes the Council for International Exchange of Scholars and Humphrey divisions.

Fulbright Scholar Program for US Faculty and Professionals for 2011-2012 is open
The Fulbright Scholar Program offers 33 awards in teaching, research or combined teaching/research in art, including two Fulbright Distinguished Chairs. Even better, faculty and professionals in art also can apply for one of the 175 “All Discipline” awards open to all fields.

What does Fulbright offer in art?  Here are a few of the awards for 2011-2012:

South and Central Asia: Applications in the arts and humanities are welcome in many of these countries, including India and Pakistan. Distinguished chair awards also available.

Mali: Visual and Performing Arts<http://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=1034> - Teach graduate courses and provide professional and artistic training in plastic arts, music, dance, fine arts, or multimedia arts. Conduct research in area of specialization.

Mauritius: Fashion and Design<http://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=1036> - Help develop programs of study in fashion design, product development, merchandising, and marketing, including branding.
