Title: Message
Tineye found the only two of mine I searched for. At one site I could find no way to contact the person about the infringement. At the other site, Photobucket, I did follow their procedure of reporting the use of my photo, but have not heard back.

I did search for two of my most popular images that seem to ripped off from time to time. I have had people contact me for use of images for free and depending on the group (small non-profit) I have granted such use. Usually I ask for them to show me how they use it and give credit. There is follow-up only some of the time.

I uploaded an image that I have on two different web sites and the answer I got back is

Wondering why TinEye couldn't find your image?

  • Our search index is still very small—just a fraction of all the images on the web! But our index is always growing, so be sure to search for this image again later.
  • TinEye looks for the specific image you uploaded, not the content of the image. TinEye cannot identify people or objects in an image.
