Alan, I am with Verizon also and just renewed my 2 year
commitment. I looked at the Droid Eris and finally settled on a
Samsung Alias 2 which was free with the new contract. I looked it over
- it has a 5 MP camera also - and checked out the additional costs
involved with using all the features and decided I didn't need that. I
have an iPod Touch which will do web and email with WiFi so, being an
older guy with no need for instant connectivity, I sold the Samsung on
eBay. The Droids really look neat and if I were younger and interested
in being more involved I probably would have gotten one. But I have
digital camera galore and computers and a camcorder and just couldn't
justify to myself moving up and paying these folks a lot more money.
Just my take. Sometimes progress is overrated. Don lookaround360@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wrote: Don, Don, Thanks for asking about pans. I have a new one I'll submit. Need to up-date my web page. BTW I am told the 1Phone equiv., Motorola Droid phone has 5MP camera! Verizon, my provider, wants $28 a month extra for Droid service. Doesn't need WYFI. Big deal!
