Not changing the lens and leaving it on the body will not eliminate the need for the occasional cleaning.  Lenses are light tight, but they are not air tight.  As lens moves in an out to focus and change focal lengths, air moves in and out of the chamber and that can get dust in.

Yeah. That's how it works on my Rebel. I use a little bulb type blower. You could have it professionaly cleaned and then never change your lens.

I just realized that the 20D sensor clean function doesn't clean the sensor but gets everything out of the way so the sensor can be cleaned......

It's pretty overcast today so I shot the sky with a different lens and I see the spots before and after I ran the sensor clean function of the 20D.    What is the best way to clean the sensor?  This has probably been asked and answered before but I don't remember.
