I have been looking for a point and shoot. I'ts not always convenient to carry an SLR around. I've pretty much decided on the Canon PowerShot SD870 (8MP) or the Canon PowerShot SD950 (12.1 MP). Does anyone here who may have used either model have any major complaints about either camera?

I have an SD850 IS and I absolutely love it...portability, quality of photos and ease of use are the hallmarks of the Canon ELPH series...I've gotten some absolutely wonderful pictures with this camera...Image Stabilization actually works...if the 870 and 950 continue the tradition, you can't go wrong...to be honest, I never leave home without it...also continuing what seems to be a tradition after the introduction of a newer model, the 850 is down to around 250 bucks from the just over 300 I paid for it...here's a review on it by Ken Rockwell if you're interested...

hope this helps,
