Web apps, who needs Photoshop? Traditional thinking says you need a native compiled PC application to do heavy lifting on your computer, like editing photographs. That thinking is wrong. Or at least soon will be. Two Flash-based apps that run in a browser, Phoenix and FotoFlexer, are beginning to challenge the standard app. Neither can replace Photoshop today, especially not for the professional
user. But these apps keep getting more capable, and thus more useful for a large
number of users. And it won't be long until Adobe releases its own online photo
editor, too. |
