Coppermine Experience/Examples?

Happy Holidays, everyone!

I'm looking improve the look/feel of my website over the coming months.  One of the options that I'm considering is using Coppermine.  I'm trying to find examples of how other photographers have used this software on their sites as an image display tool for their work.  I'm not interested in creating a site for other persons to download and display photos, so I'm not interested in the multi-user functionality, but just the possibility of having a free, off-the-shelf, supported software package that only I can log into, load, display, etc., although it would be interesting to also allow viewers to rate photos and to send them to others as e-cards, too, as a way to market/distribute my images.

Does anyone here have any experience or know of such examples where Coppermine has been used by a photographer?  I googled "Coppermine," but the only examples that I found (OK, I only reviewed thirty search results) were for multi-user situations...

Or, are there other similar or better software tools that you feel that I should consider?

Thanks and Happy New Year from snowy Wisconsin,

Tim!
