Dear Colleagues in Higher Education,

I would like to ask your assistance in spreading the word about
Fulbright Scholar Opportunities to Spain in the disciplines ranging from
Social Sciences to Journalism to Law.  I would appreciate it if you
could post the following announcement in your listserv or newsletter.

The Council for International Exchange of Scholars is currently
accepting applications for the following awards to Spain in the fields
of

American Studies, Universidad Complutense de Madrid #8371

(lecturing, 5 months) Teach one doctoral course in the Department of
Philology, Complutense University of Madrid

American Studies, University of Barcelona #8372

(lecturing, 5 months) Teach one doctoral course at the Autonomous
University of Barcelona

Journalism #8375

(lecturing, 5 months) Participate in doctoral seminar "Media and Peace"
and collaborate with professors on analysis of international news.

All Disciplines #8368

3-5 months) Conduct research and/or collaborate with colleagues at
Spanish research centers and institutions of higher education.
Opportunities to offer occasional lectures, seminars and workshops as
arranged by host institutions or Spanish Fulbright Commission.

Benefits:

A stipend of 2,275 euro per month for lecturing and 1,700 euro per month
for research awards. Reimbursement for round-trip (tourist-class)
airfare for grantee and up to two eligible dependents. Living allowance
of 360-510 euro per month, depending on number of dependents. One-time
relocation allowance of approximately US$1,200.

The application deadline for all grants listed above is August 1, 2007.
