Lea, the Epson 2100/2200 inks are pigment, NOT dye!

As for eco-friendliness, I´ve no idea, but the mere fact that Epson doesn´t say a word about it makes me assume that they aren´t.  And they smell to high heaven while the printer works (I´m the impatient type that keeps opening the top cover to watch the print growing, and sometimes I almost feel dizzy from the fumes).

And those papers.... what additives/coatings are in/on them?

My only excuse is that the good old silver processes were ecologically horrible too....;-)
