And so there shall not be a gallery update this weekend, but hopefully Andy
is now back home safely in Rochester.
Here are my tow Canadian bit on this week's gallery.
David Small - Instant Photography
This surely is a nice picture: the photographer photographing the
photographer photographing. Why does this one reminds me so much of Martin
Parr's hilarious pictures of the tourists around the world? It has the same
sense of surrealism. Perhaps a bit too constrasty and overexposed. I would
have liked to see more details in the highlights.
Guy Glorieux - Street work
Montreal in the last days of winter...
Don Roberts - Route 66 Redux
Interesting background shot to your great shot last week, but IMHO not as an
interesting a composition. Actually, I wonder if you had moved back the
Model T (?) about a hundred feet backward, then perhaps some 20 feet to your
right, then lowered your camera to get a low perspective, then cropped a bit
of the foreground and then turned your right foot away from the rattlesnake
behind you and then closed down the aperture by about a third of a stop and
then increased a bit the saturation and then perhaps tried a...
Oh! forget it! I agree with you: this does look like an interesting little
spot...! ... -:))
Pini Vollach - Untitled
Nice composition of plants in the foreground and abandonned space in the
background.
Museki Abe - The Weekly Calendar_ March
I like the calendar a lot. How did you make the image? Do you have similar
pictures for each months oof the year? Can we find this calendar somewhere?
Trevor Cunningham - fly porn
Ho! Ho! Andy, where are you? Get the kids off the gallery this week... Was
this shot on Tri-X ? It must have been quite something to shoot. First
notice the situation, then grab the camera, then take a light reading, then
aim, and focus, and adjust depth-of-field. Then shoot... Rats, they're
gone. Wait for the next couple...
Emily L. Ferguson - Another logo design
I think that I like this logo's background image better than the previous
one But there was something really interesting about the way the text
curved around the wave last week which I miss in this week's logo. Both are
great in any event. Inspiring creative process.
Thanks for posting. Let's all keep the gallery up and running high.
