Here are a few of my ideas.

Get down low enough so the grillwork on the top of the gate is entirely silhouetted against the sky.

Decide if you're shooting the gate or the moutains with gate in front.

If you're shooting the gate, get rid of all the rest of the fencing, or at least most of it and come back when the sun's on the mountains and fields so the gate can be silhouetted against the bright background.

Reduce depth of field so only the gate is sharp.

Shoot along the fence rather than across it.
