As we move on to spread enlightenment, so we notice the darkness closing in on the world we left behind.
 
History shows us that all great empires have fallen with a little fundamentalism and greed in the ruling class.
 
... as we watch the empire tumble into darkness, with new arcane laws and anybody who wants to shine a little light will be dealt with accordingly by those who draw a shrp line between the new right and wrong.

Just shows you can't take anything for granted, can you?

All that progress against the Great Darkness is just slipping away.
It was the baby-boomers who fought for freedom of thought (their own).
It still is the babyboomers fighting against freedom of thought (that of
others).
Back to the Dark Ages! Burn, witch! Burn!
Not even clear our kids and grand-kids will have anything more than the
thought of a planet.
