USB Hard Drives have become my medium-of-choice for data-backup for the reasons listed. It is very convenient to have my data all in one place. I've got a 120GB external drive (like $90 at wal-mart in the States). When it fills up, I'll replace it with a 250GB drive for around the same price. :)
