RE: Web site

Guy,
I didn't try navigating the whole web page on my first look before coffee on a slow connection. Later on, once I got the rhythm of it I didn't have a problem and was rather pleased that I fig'ered it out. If it were my page (a scruffy cardboard box by comparison)  I'd offer some more clues.  I didn't think there were too many pictures or that it needed thinning down, and I get very impatient at 50.6KB.  I must be in a mood to match this terrific weather we're having here today.

Thanks Allan, Lea, Alexander, Mair, Jeff

These comments are much appreciated.  I'm sure Marie will draw a lot of
ideas from them (if you allow me to pass them on).

My own personal reaction (before asking the group) was somewhat more
critical than Allan, Lea, Alexander, but the dittos are rather nice to read.
I actually was somewhere between Jeff and Mair, with a sense that this girl
had a lot of talent but that the web site needed some improvement and that
there was too much work being shown with a resulting loss of focus.  I think
that hse needs to do a critical editing of the images to cut down on numbers
and keep only the most powerful images.

I'm glad that nobody felt that the lack of understanding of the french words
created a problem.  It seems to me that the images spoke for themselves and
for the photographer.  Actually, she could probably remove most of it.

Much like you, Jeff, I thought that the first two portfolios (fashion and
green) are really quite simpressive.  The opening shot, with the model's
legs and the man with sunglasses and a digi-phone/camera in the background
goes far beyond being a simple fashion shot.  Interestingly, the fashion
show (lingerie) was taking place in Algier and the local cultural/religious
taboos severely cut down on the possibilities for showing the garments...

A photographer that's worth keeping track of.

Best regards,

Guy
