FYI -
If you have a digital version of your photograph: To submit it to the PhotoForum
member's gallery for inclusion consideration send it as an attachment to e-mail
sent to the address indicated below making sure the image is .JPEG compressed to
medium quality and that it is not too large. Guideline: about 700 pixels in
longer dimension and about 75-100K compressed size. If the image you send is
larger than the guidelines, it may be reduced by gallery staff to meet this
requirement.
If you have the photograph already on the web: To submit your suggestion of an
image that already exists on the Web simply send the information about the
location of the image on the Web (the image should be within the file sizes
specified below or it will be reduced to such size by gallery staff) to the
e-mail address specified below.
Along with the photograph or the suggested URL in the body of your email you
might send related information laid out like this template:
Author:
Title (if any):
URL of full size image:
URL of author site (if any):
e-mail of author:
Additional details about author and/or image:
Staff will make a thumbnail and link it to the larger version and the author's
name. The author's name will be linked to a temporary author's page which will
contain a caption (if available) and directions for readers to connect to the
author's web site and e-mail address.
Please send only one contribution at a time and do not send another one until
the first image has been exhibited. We do not have the space to store multiple
images by individual authors.
If pointing to a photograph on a website please do not send a message that says
something like: "This is my site's URL and you can pick out any image that you
think is suitable". Be decisive and choose ONE image. Gallery staff does not
have the time to visit sites and pick images.
By sending your suggestion or an image for inclusion in this rotating gallery
you allow PhotoForum's Gallery staff to download your image, adjust its size at
its discretion if required and temporarily store it.
