I think you muissed my snippet referring to the presence of trust fund money which often prevails, or ends up in someone's arm...it reminds me of my first days living in Portland, Oregon years back...some drippy hippie guy walks up to me, plowed on the pot, talking about medical marijuana, petitions, meetings, etc...i declined association and got a stern, "heeeey maaan, some people really need lots of help, ya know..." upon viewing his condition (earthen skin, dirty rags for clothes, an inescapable mustard like smell, and an emaciated unleashed mongrel that kept chewing on the shoes of passers-by) i was about to offer him a bowl of soup before he and the mongrel climbed into a late model toyota 4-runner with leather seats and a sunroof...it's my experience that truly poor people will come right out and ask you for money...performers try to get it some other way
