My 1280 will start faint banding sometimes.  It seems that one nozzle
gets semi-clogged. I think, rather than being clogged there is crud
built up that deflects the ink slightly.  

Roll a small square of cotton cloth (T-shirt) the diameter of a pencil,
and about two inches long.  Soak it in Windex  Lay it in the head ways
and drag the head back and forth across three or four times. (You will
have to determine where the head release catch is under the head
carriage of your 2200.) If the lines are still there leave the head
resting on the cloth for a few minutes.  Do a cleaning cycle and test.
