Ok Clipping had been explained to me as when the histogram did reach the end
of the box, but it does make sense that it would be "Clipped" if it went
beyond what was possible in the space.

Clipping occurs when the values in histogram extend past the endpoints,
either 0 or 255. See

If the original image is clipped, how would slide the adjusters to meet
the
endpoints of the values? The endpoints would already be at 0 and or 255.
