Hell, for all we know they were clipped down from 257 or 258 ... :o) All the monitor-bragging is irrelavent. It does not matter if you look at the files on a ZX81 or a 42 inch plasma screen. If the histograms are good - the image data is good. If it looks blown out when the histograms are good: you need to adjust your monitor. Bob
