The short answer is ... No. The first lens is definitely for the (old) manual focus mount used on cameras such as the A-1, T-90, FTb, F-1 and so forth ... made between (roughly) the 1950's and the 1980's. It uses what is known as the "FD mount." The newer Canon cameras, beginning with the EOS series introduced (roughly) in the late 1980's, use what is sometimes called the EOS mount, and the lenses are known as the "EF" or "EF-S" series lenses. The Canon 10D uses the EF series lenses. If the second lens was from the same source, it probably has the same mount, and will also not be usable with your Canon 10D. ----- Original Message ----- From: "rebphoto" <rebphoto@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "List for Photo/Imaging Educators - Professionals - Students" <photoforum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, July 10, 2005 6:32 PM Subject: Old guns for a Canon > Hi Gang......... > > I recently bought a Canon 10 D > > I have hanging around two old Canon lenses. > > One is an FD 50mm lens > The other is a Sears zoom. > > (Hey don't blame me...they were given to me!) > > Can I mount these on the camera with out damaging any thing? > > I'm not sure why I would want to use these, > but it would be good to know if I had the ability > to do so. > > > > Russ > R.E.
