Are you talking about color or Black & White?

Have done similar with a B&W transparency for a title slide, but the problem is what resolution can you get from the printer. Result was grainy (but using laser printer).

With a colour neg you may get colour problems, comparing the clear acetate sheet to the base of film negative.

If doing it, use as large a format as possible, 6x6 cm or 4x5" if available to reduce any "grain" problems.
