The process was not "run" manually - if it had been then there would be
room for wiggle but then also I could be blamed for playing favorites.
That is the last thing that should happen. I have to depend on the
participants in terms of following the rules exactly and also to abide
by the implied "spirit" of the activity.
Now that you mention it I could have set things up so that the
autoresponder would have accepted variations on the format - I was not
smart enough to think about that ahead of time! In any case it is
probably better not to accept variations. :)
