The software from Canon is clumsier than CS2, has fewer controls, and at
least for my photos also produces inferior results.
That said, for photos I care about, I am using the Raw Shooters Essentials
from Pixmantec that is superior to both the Canon software and CS2. It's
at http://www.pixmantec.com/index2.html and at least for now, it's free.
