Hi to all of you,

As a new member of this list, may I present myself.

Michel Dusariez was born in 1938 in Brussels- Belgium, where he still lives. In 1959 he qualified as an Optician Optometrist at the Centre for Applied Optical Science. Retired from active business from may 2004.

Ever since the beginning of his career in 1960, ophthalmic optician, Michel DUSARIEZ has explored new aspects of photography.

In the eighties he rediscovered Kite Aerial Photography, invention of the Frenchman Arthur BATUT (1888) and shared it with the world with the help of KAPWA - Kite Aerial Photography Worldwide Association - fundation he founded and was president . This association has more than 500 practising members throughout the world. At this not yet in activity.

Having done that, he involved himself in all aspects of photography of more than 360°, which among other things resulted in his stunning 360° stereoscopic camera, an invention for which he received the Boelpaepe Award of the Royal Academy of Belgium in 1995.

He was invited to participate in and make a presentation to ELECTRONIC IMAGING - STEREOSCOPIC DISPLAY AND VIRTUAL REALITY at SAN JOSE, CA, USA in February 1997.

He organised the first EUROMEETING of the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PANORAMIC PHOTOGRAPHERS in Brussels in 1996. He was appointed life member of the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PANORAMIC PHOTOGRAPHERS ( IAPP ) USA in 1997 and give up some years later.

I He published two books in French and in English, in collaboration with others: "KITE AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY" and "EXPERIMENTS IN 360° PANOPTIC PHOTOGRAPHY". He illustrates the weekly photographic chronicle "PANORAMIC PORTRAIT" in the Belgian daily newspaper "LE SOIR" (more than 180 photographs covering 360° published to date, full page. )

He was invited to Tokyo JAPAN in 1989 and 1992 for two exhibitions and conferences.

Participe to many exhibitions in Europ.

Recently he finalize his last challenge "Underwater photography covering more than 360° "

To the best of our knowledge, it has been attempted several times, but hitherto without success, so the new technology presented seems to be a World's first !
