Quit Photoshop and restart, open the pic and do whatever you need to fix it.

If your scratch disc is full you've been keeping Photoshop open
through a lot of image processing and you need to quit PS to empty
the scratch disc.  If you're  processing a bunch of images at once
and you need to keep your history open do a snapshot of each place
where you want to go back and work some more and save the image as a
.psd.  Then you can pick up from your snapshot to adjust whatever you
needed after you have restarted PS.
