Hi Shyrell, I know it's tough and crap like this casts a black pall over your creativity, but , never fear underdog is here (sorry, well maybe not vbg.) You have a great following on this list and many who wish to help. And they can sue till they are blind but that won't change!! Legally she is not entitle to MORE than she paid for. She really cannot have both (all) images and all the cash. She can try and sue for more if she wants but it won't work. Like I said make sure that you inform the judge that you have bent over backwards to complete the images with what you had to work with. Most small claims courts judges are actually attorneys acting int his capacity. Some do actually have appointed judges though. Also and I know this will be hard but NEVER interrupt the plaintiff during her testimony, just wait patiently and quietly until called on by the judge. Thats why I suggested you go and see a few nights of other cases. In my case the images were nearly all destroyed due to faulty rental equipment (and yes it was tested prior to the wedding) and the lab basically ate almost all the rest of the images. They actually cross processed one roll! I had to pay approx 60% back to the client and do a reshoot of portraits. They were sueing for nearly 4k and a complete reshoot including rental of church and flying in relatives!! But I did get the last laugh! She came home one day and found hubby with someone else, I really wanted to shoot the divorce... Hmmm I Never was asked to do the portraits again. Good luck, who knows you may even win. Les
