We are discussing using an on camera flash unit,
while photographing people outside. Here in the desert we get very
contrasty shadows on faces.

Hi PhotoForum Members,
I'm having a difficult time trying to explain
fill flash to some members of a workshop I'm facilitating. Could
some of you please offer some suggestions as to how to explain it so it can be
easily understood.
The students understand the concept - it's just
difficult for me to explain the mechanics.
I'd appreciate any help you could
offer.
