Dan Mitchell - Waiting
This one is too cluttered for my taste. The person sitting outside the "golden cut" looking out of the picture rather into it could be justified by the underlying subject. However, the person is just too small and can't compete with the orange on the other side of the picture. There are lots of diagonals, big objects like the iron door etc. which do not really convey a meaning for me.

Christopher Strevens - Even Escalators are beautiful in our town
I quite like the composition, but fail to see a "phallic symbol".
"Honi soit..."

Gregory David Stempel - Heidi
Full of contrasts: the blue and orange colour contrast as well as the contrast between the abandoned-looking ship and the brightly lit windows. Also, the old, rather technical ship is just about the wildest antithesis to the young, innocent Heidi living in the Alps...
Very nice shot!

Rich Mason - fascinating night shot with a beautiful reflection. I find the ship on the left a bit distracting, however.

David Small - On the bus
Good portrait, although not very sharp. I'd be interested in the story behind this picture. Did you talk to this man? Did he agree to this shot?

Jim Davis - Late Evening Fishing
I love this photo. The child is concentrating very hard and there's a beautiful reflection of the setting sun.

<plug>accidentally. I have two fishing-shots from Japan. If anyone is interested:

Leslie Spurlock - Caring for Flood Victims

perfect. Maybe the best shot in this gallery! The doctor looks at the little girl, but she looks out of the picture, at the
person behind the camera... Very well composed, interesting subject and a picture telling a story...
