A good snap nevertheless, you're an opportunist snapper! -----Original Message----- From: owner-photoforum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-photoforum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Laurenz Sent: 06 December 2004 05:19 To: List for Photo/Imaging Educators - Professionals - Students Subject: Re: PF Exhibits on 04 DEC 04 Chris, he fun part was that this bird actually landed on the sign and immediately began to sing (or protest), an arm's length away from me. No Photoshop involved. (I'm not into digital composites anyway - there are so many good subjects without such trickery...) As to the light: I think you can even see my shadow on the right side of the sign, - so the bird was not backlit. Seems, it was just a bit too black for the automatic exposure of the camera (everthing else is correctly exposed, only the bird lacks detail). Actually, the original slide is a bit better in this respect. I guess using fill flash from this distance would have given the poor guy the shock of his life!
