hi all! well a week ago i had the dreadful event of droping my long zoom lens, and seeing it rolling down an asphalt road. I feel i was really lucky, cos it landed extended hood first and then leveled at the tripod mount ring strengthened area, leaving dings at both points... The lens seems mechanically sound...aperture leafs seem to work OK both in ayto and in manual, focusing works too-after some binding that went away with a little work and pressure. And there are no loose tiny bits moving inside. Now, only the filter takes some caution to wind it properly... So the question is what can still be wrong. I suppose that since the camera focuses there won't be a problem with that. And since the aperture leaf lever works fine when in A position the lens gets the proper camera dictated aperture. But how about sharpenss of the images? could it be affected? (movement of optical elements) Problem is that where i am now stationed i can not develop any of the B&W film I shot afterwards, so i am asking for your ideas in C41 test frames to take and test procedures to make myself. Thanks all in advance...kostas _____________________________________________________________________________________ http://www.mailbox.gr ÁðïêôÞóôå äùñåÜí ôï ìïíáäéêü óáò e-mail. http://www.thesuperweb.gr Website ìå ÁóöáëÝò Controlpanel áðü 6 Euro êáé äþñï ôï domain óáò!
