Dear Colleagues,

Another look iside the hearts and minds of our membership.

And time for me to cast my totally fair, unbiassed, respected, trusted, and ultimately truthful eye over them.

The PhotoForum members' gallery/exhibit space was updated 25 SEP 04. Authors with work now on display at http://www.rit.edu/~andpph/gallery.html include:

Emily L. Ferguson - Close Hauled

A marvelous image full of movement and action. What more can I say?

Greg Fraser - Carmic Irony

You were in that when it happened?!?!? I think that's simply too much movement and action... But I guess that will teach you never to pay off your car again.

Jeff Spirer - Fantasia

Hmmm, a lot of noise evident in your image. Must be a digital artifact. I'm sorry that your work is on banned sites.

Alan Zinn - Darn that shutter lag

Now that's the problem with digital cameras. With film, very occasionally, you might see a fuzzy finger over part of the frame. You may not have picked this up Alan, but there's a BLOODY GREAT FOOT sticking into the top of your image.

D.L. Shipman -

Mr. DL (may I call you D?) whilst your image is sharp and detailed, I am somewhat troubled by the fact that you chose an image with a HUGE INSECT on it! Agan, the with digital... Where's all the nice flowers?

Leslie Spurlock - Chaos at Ticket Sales ...

Is it just me, or is it somewhat troubling tha the UN is now policing ticket sales of soccer matches? I blame it on digital cameras.

Dan Mitchell - Altogether now

Dan, you've clearly gone overboard with your digital correction. I told you that once you used yor digital black magic to "correct" all those things that the appearance of those 18 y.o. models would suffer. I've been proved right again.

Veli Cigirgan -

I look at this image and I think. And I think some more. And I can't really come up with the reason that it doesn't appeal to me.

Jim Davis - Tree Without Bird

I'm glad you didn't shoot the bird. I like birds. I don't like hunters. Stick to photography Jim. I think I'd like to see a tad more contrast.

Howard Leigh - Fallen Rose

Finally! A nice flower. When I looked at the thumbnail I was preparing to say "shame about the background", but seeing the image at the larger size I have to agree with your reasons for shooting it.

My Picks for this week are Emily, Dave, and Howard (in no particular order).

Best
UnBob
