Photoshop 6 and above has a very intersting lighting function that allows you to place different kinds of lights at different locations in a scene. You would have to photograph the scene with flat lighting first but that should be quick and easy with a digital camera. It would probably take a bit of work to get it to exactly mimic your lights but it might be helpful fro general setup.
