> Pillar of the Community: This is an interesting photograph for many
reasons. The juxtaposition of the old and new (the gray structure behind
the King of Hearts). The beautiful gray structure has a church-like
quality and the King of Hearts looks more like a club or pub. You told us
this is your home town and that causes me to be more interested in the
photograph than if it were a vacation shot, randomly taken.

"hanging the show" for us to enjoy.

The "gray structure" is an almost unique church tower, entirely detached
from the nearby church building. The tower was built around 1240 AD ! One
of the oldest structures in all of East Anglia.

The next building is, of course, the local "pub", as we in England call
them. Essential visit after morning service.

Dan.
