Greg,
99% the stuff is not on the emulsion side. It is on the shiny side; that was
my experience. Can you pl. confirm where it is? If is not on the emulsion
side, you may need to once more wash the film carefully and save the Barbie.
I use the squeeze between the [clean] fingers just before hanging in heated
drying cabinet, no problems, no streaks, no scratches ever [for both 35mm
and 120]!
I had similar problems as you have and had posted that on photoforum few
years ago and then, Rev. Syd converted me to LFN (from Photoflo, which I now
use to wash the photographic utensils).
