You can always use Wein Peanut slaves and keep your on camera flash
pointed up or away to triggerthemt. They're good for 100 feet and
that's surely enough for any tabletop you're doing and most other
photography except maybe nighttime sports.
If you use them where other people are shooting with Point and Shoots
however, they get triggered by the P&Ss too.
