Basic photography--see also the exposure guide packed with your box of film.

Use the reciprocal of your ISA film speed to set your shutter speed, i.e.
ISO125 = shutter speed 1/125, then:

on a sunny day set aperture to f/16 (hard shadows)

use f/11 if the shadows are slightly softer

use f/8 if you can just see your shadow

use f/5.6 is the sun is out (say between 10 and 2) but you have no shadow

also use f/5.6 when you are in open shade.
