I see the camera phones as a baby step toward what the future holds.   Some day we will be able to trip the shutter and high resolution pictures will show up wherever we want them to--no more need for memory cards in cameras.

How about a motion detector camera sending a signal to your phone or PDA so you could see who is prowling around your house while you're away?   (oh look, it's the neighbor stealing your newspaper again!)

What art will come of it all is subject to interpretation.
