Sidney,

I'm surprised it's happened to you this late as I was getting about 10 of those messages a day a couple of weeks ago. They've largely stopped now.

What happens is this: There's a virus about (I've forgotten its name.) that affects someone's machine that has your address in its address book. This virus replicates itself and sends it out to other addresses as though it came from you. The process repeats. It doesn't come from your machine (If you have a Mac, you're not vulnerable.) but from a Windows' machine of an individual who has your address in its address book. There's nothing you can do about it and you're not at fault. Your computer wasn't involved. The pity is that central virus scanners return the message (minus the virus) to you as though you had sent it and could do something about it. This accomplishes nothing but to clog the transmission lines.

Roger

Somebody, possibly somebodies, have high jacked my website mailing address. (See below). Does anybody know how I can circumvent this short of changing my url which I own for the next 15 years?

Peace!
Sidney
