I think the Reverend is experiencing something that several users have reported to me lately. User A receives a message stating that an email they sent did not reach the intended recipient. However, User A never sent the message and has never heard of the recipient. 

This seems to be email address spoofing. Probably some virus/worm is pulling addresses out of people's MS Outlook address books and using those addresses to spoof the sender's address as it replicates by mass mailing itself (or something nefariously similar).

Just my humble opinion.
