RE: Epson 2200

The newest driver from Epson supports some borderless printing. For my
current application I'm trimming the prints with a rotary trimmer to remove
the borders, slow but good. I did run into an installation process bug with
the new drivers, and Epson 2nd level support talked me through fixing it,
with no charge. I use the minimize margins options on the page layout tab of
the print properties window. It warns you about possible fading at the lower
edge of the print, but as yet I haven't seen it.

The "Printer Basics" pdf file describes which papers can be used for
borderless printing on the 2200.

Hope this helps,
Rick

you can gain some control over your margins "through a back door." under
properties, page layout, go to "advanced" followed by "continue." press the
button for double-sided printing and work the buttons that then appear.
check "top" and "centered" and set the counter to 118: this will give you a
slightly larger margin at the bottom of the print than at the top, with the
side margins being equal. when the printing is finished press "stop" to turn
off the two-sided printing feature. i'm writing this at the office from
memory and in respect to ps7, but i think it's correct. i belieeve, but am
not sure, that the 2200 will allow for borderless prints in some sizes.

later.

Gasp! Never measured as of today, but its about 1/8
on each the Top, Left and Right, and a bit more than
1/2 on the bottom.

Adobe Illustrator automatically draws the correct
margins when you set-up your working document. I tried
drawing a box from the margin-out, but I can't find
the object info! Anyway, HTH.
