IMHO, most product shots in general use mid-focal length lenses to avoid 
distortion. Between 50 and 110 (on 35mm format) would be a good place to 
start. But frankly in that format your quality (sharpness, color 
saturation, and so on) will only be good enough for small reproductions 
or the web.
