One method of triggering studo slaves from any digicam or indeed any camera with an onboard flash is to cover the flash with an IR filter, you can even make a cheap one yourself by using two pieces of unexposed but developed E6 film and sticking them one over the other in front of the flash. It won't emit enough visible light to record anything on the shot but it will emit enough IR to trip the flash Just make sure any preflash or red eye reduction is turned off ;-) k
