I was there at that Gospel (and earlier Blues) Festival, walked right past that booth many times. Again, my suggestion for you is to get closer. MUCH closer than in this shot. Ditto with the Maxwell St. Stand shot. Try using something in the 24/28/35/50mm range. The distance between you and your subjects on the street is visually translating as clutter, remoteness & insulated feelings.
