Metamerism is less an issue with the Ultrachrome pigment inks used in the 2200, 7600 and 9600 Epson printers, although according to some users it's still "somewhat" of a problem. Your best bet on ink/paper combination longevity is to check Henry Wilhelm's site for his test results for these inks with the various Epson papers. http://www.wilhelm-research.com/

I have been reading up on printers and my understanding of the situation is you get have to choose between not-so-pretty, color-shifting archival inks or spectacular short-life inks. I'm wondering just how dramatic metamerism is in the Epson archival inks when viewed under different light sources. Just how soon would non-archival inks loose their beauty?
